INTEL BIOS Tweaks For Better Gaming


A lot of bios power saving features have been developed over the years that cause input lag and can be changed to reduce it. Other bios features can change game engine behavior effecting game output e.g. MOH Revived. So one configuration is not a blanket configuration for all games and does not cover all uses. These settings do not reflect the best settings but I have found that changing the listed settings has reduced latency in our game.

INTEL Settings

Enter your computer BIOS and change the settings to:


  • Advanced CPU Configuration

    Hyper Threading - Disabled

    INTEL C-States - Disabled

    EIST - Disabled

    CPU Spread Spectrum - Disabled

    CPU C1E - Disabled

  • Memory

    Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) - Enabled
